index.jpg (gif png) - version 1.3.0

Index Image Great Feature -Not working dry I love this script and the idea of the index image! However, I can't get it to work. If I name an image "index.jpg (.gif .png)" it does not display, nothing displays, just the folder title. Chmod is 777, for directory and 666 for image. Thank you for the fix. -- Yophtoman

Re:index.jpg (gif png) - version 1.3.0

Hi Admin,
I found the resolutions.
1) I was using images for the "index.png." They were too big. Once I resized them to the same size as designated in the configuration section, all worked as expected.

2) I had multiple configuration files. That seemed to confuse the script. I found editing the config section of the script rather than using the admin function, a more sure way for me to keep it simple and avoid errors.

I use your script on more than one site. When my edits and tweaks are ready for the public, I will post the URL's somewhere here.

Thanks a bunch !!

Re:index.jpg (gif png) - version 1.3.0

Did you organise your albums correctly?

gallery (your main directory)
-index.php
album1 (your first album, a subdirectory of gallery)
-index.php
-index.jpg
-firstphoto.jpg
-secondphoto.jpg
album2 (your second album, a subdirectory of gallery)
-index.php
-index.jpg
-firstphoto.jpg
-secondphoto.jpg

etc. When you open your main gallery page, it should show you the index icons to the albums...

Concerning the logout problem, I don't know what this could be, perhaps you changed the password while you were still logged in?

Re:index.jpg (gif png) - version 1.3.0

Hey,
Thanks for the note. GD is working fine. Thumbs are all there too. The script finally started to show the index.png but it also shows it in the photo list. I thought it was supposed to ignor it when you entered the album. I also saw your page on using icons. Pretty neat when it works right.

Also a different problem. (Maybe it should be a new thread). The script seems to sometimes get stuck after log out from admin. It logs out to the log in screen. I click back to gallery home and click into the album again but only get a log-in screen which will not respond. Changing the URL in the address bar has no effect.

I found if I delete the configuration file, it will respond correctly. Should I check "User configuration file" to avoid this or is it actually a bug?

I use the script anyway. It's just too good not to!

Re:index.jpg (gif png) - version 1.3.0

Do you see the thumbnails of the other photos in the album? It could be that GD is not working, check if you see the EasyPhpAlbum logo at the bottom-right corner, if it is not there your server does not support GD.
